Sarah Cummins

Sarah Cummins lives in the South Island and her works are predominantly in soft pastel and acrylic mediums. She finds painting botanicals and florals uplifting and uses a bright colour palette to reflect this.  She also loves to play with colour and contrast, a theme which runs through the current series of still lifes. Her objective is to capture the contrasting nature of light and shadow and to bring it to life with vivid colour and strong forms.
