Anna Reid
Anna has been working as a full time artist out of her Dowling Street studio for 6 years. She was fortunate to grow up in the Cardrona Valley until moving to St Leonards on the Otago Harbour, where she has been living for the last 25 years with her husband and three teenage boys.
From 2004 to 2009 Reid studied Fine and Visual Arts in Dunedin. It is here that she was introduced to and fell in love with printmaking and its various techniques. In 2009 she won the Dunedin Art Awards and the following year she won the Aspiring Art Awards –best work under $1000.00.
“Over the years as a printmaker I have been heavily influenced by Stanley Palmers Printmaking techniques and layers of texture created with multiple plates. My greatest inspiration is our country’s ever changing and diverse landscapes.”
Gallery De Novo is delighted to represent one of Dunedin's best artists.
